Friday Cat Blogging: The Duo

Well, I discovered I had a bit of space left on Flickr to upload some more cat photos, so I've got a total of five pictures of the duo of Hooker and Moni as yet unblogged to hold me to the end of the month.


So, two this week. First, a comparison shot:

And now, the occasional cleaning ritual -- sometimes one of them really likes it when the other cleans them, sometimes they just put up with it, sometimes it's done by force, and sometimes it all ends in tears. Which one do you think this is?

Pretty much -- Photoshop was used to change the DPI and size (I make everything 300 dpi, 6" wide, just as a standard for Flickr). I played with the contrast and brightness ever so slightly, but wound up barely changing it, as it looked best close to untouched (I mainly tried to bring out the tonalities of Moni's fur a little bit more). I was hoping I could get the background a little darker without messing up the cats, but I couldn't.

Pretty much it's a straight flash photo of the cats on the bed (I don't remember if I took it or Berit did). There's about five similar shots in a row, and it was hard to choose, but I liked this one best (well, except for the one of Moni yawning while being cleaned, but that was blurry) -- more will show up in future months, I'm sure.
