Impeccably acted. Ingeniously designed and staged. Some erudite and aware arguments worked in and not forced to fit. The woman interrogator emerges as a kind of refreshingly empathetic ideological character sketch of Condoleezza Rice (whom I loathe; that's what's refreshing). Could do without the self-reflexive writer's-workshop section, though the later blurring of the writer with the male interrogator is an astute anatomizing of the play's ambiguities. The prisoner is a good portrait, thematically, of the way that American fighters both left and right tend to implant social instructions rather than tap personal passions -- though the downside is that she never quite cohered as a personality for me herself; a weakness, more than a mystery, at the center. But brave walls to scale.
