Couldn't agree with you more (and thanks for the shout out!). Though the lack of $$ sucks, it's great to be artistically free from shackles--and hey, our audience is young, and fun, and GROWING each year. Quite the opposite from institutional theater!
The book idea has come up several times--we should talk. There are ways to publish that involve NO up front $$ these days, with the Internets and all, we just need to provide print-ready files (and considering I did that for 9 years straight at the day job, I think I can handle that).
