Another excellent show of That's What We're Here For last night -- good sized house, pretty much responsive, we did a good job.  Show is better and better.

Lots of compliments -- especially for Maggie's and my dance (Maggie had lots of friends there last night; it was her birthday), but also for the whole damned thing.  Good.  I needed to hear that.

Fell into bed, exhausted at 2.00 am, woke up at 6.30, couldn't fall asleep again -- aches and pains all over, woozy.  Puttered around a bit, unfocused.  Listened to music.  Surfed the web.  Tried to think of something productive to do with the day; couldn't think of anything I felt up to.  Did some shopping.  Fell back into bed in the early afternoon, woke up around 5.00 pm or so.

Now, just finally getting to wind down, watching the five episodes I have of the mid-90s 10-part Rock & Roll cable documentary, just getting away from anything to do with the show now that I have two days off.

Maybe tomorrow I'll sit back, try to recover some more, and have the Jean-Luc Godard home film festival I've been wanting to do for a while -- the pile of films has been sitting by the TV for over a week -- Contempt, Band of Outsiders, Alphaville, Masculine Feminine, Tout Va Bien, and Passion.  Wish I had some more of my JLG favorites, but that's what I got on hand.  Guess I sold off Pierrot Le Fou and First Name: Carmen at some point.  Bad Fox Lorber DVDs of those, true, didn't need 'em.  Godard -- good palate cleanser; inspirational for moving on, thinking about what's next.

Three more shows this weekend.  I really don't know if The Brick is going to have space for us for an August extension as I had hoped (and as I know much of the cast hopes).  So . . . if not, what then for this show?  These six shows aren't enough for this one.  It has to come back.  If not August, then when?  Will I have everyone back?  Can I get them all at the same time?  Will they all want to come back?  Hope so.

So, something to figure out.  In the meantime, o friends of mine who read this journal and haven't come by the show yet . . . three more chances -- Saturday at 3.30 pm, Sunday at 3.00 pm and 8.30 pm -- hope to see you there at The Brick.
