David Finkelstein, of Lake Ivan Exists, has posted a number of essays about working in theatre. David works exclusively in an extended improvisatory form (wonderful to see live, even better I have to say, when videotaped and reconfigured by David into one of his dense video pieces), but much of his thinking in these essays is applicable to all kinds of theatre (or Art and Life for that matter). Good common sense. Please check them out.
Tom X. Chao, "a dryly funny downtown comedian' (New York Times!), posts his "Peculiar Utterances of the Day" each Monday to Friday as the day begins at midnight. As with most of Tom's work, it is dryly funny. Unlike the rest of Tom's work, you can get it in your home, for free, and it lasts less than a minute.
