What We Miss
Jul. 15th, 2006 02:31 pmBerit and I will be back for a week in NYC shortly to deal with things there we can't up here, including getting back to what we miss most about our home:
Left to right: Hooker ("family size") and Simone a/k/a Moni ("fun size")
Portland, ME is usually a nice place to get away to for a while, but while this has been a good rest this time, it might as well be anywhere -- we've stayed mainly in one room, writing, planning, relaxing, etc. We might as well be in a far-less interesting city than Portland.
Maybe when we get back up here on the 26th we'll get out more.
Actual theatre-related things to come back to the journal shortly -- first notes for Temptation (by Vaclav Havel, at The Brick, October-November, part of The Havel Festival). This is going to be an interesting show for me to make work, especially within the resources available. The set is problematic for the space and budget, and the solution as I see it now causes massive lighting problems.
More soon, after I'm done consulting with my midget spaceman oracle . . .
