To me, your interpretation of those last five speeches matches with my own, but coming from a different place. By that point in the play, for me, it doesn't matter whether what Foustka says is completely true or completely a lie--he's already lost his soul by saying whatever is the most advantageous to him whenever put to the test. I am put in mind of Dick Cheney's recent visit to Russia, where he crticized Putin for his strong arm power tactics which is making the Russian legislature more and more irrelvant. Putin sort of laughed at him and pointed out Bush's tactics here. He didn't even need to really respond to or deny what Cheney said.
