You sound very serious and committed. My advice would to be not to lose sight of the actor who conveys the text in the most clarified way--not the British-accent way, not the Sharpest-diction way, not the Mellifluous-Voice way but the one that brings the audience along because they "get" what is being said. They do not sit there thinking, "What the hell was THAT all about?" In fact, they are never popped out of the illusion by something this actor is doing unless it is so apt, so natural, and so heartbreaking that they weep. THEN, it is okay to be popped out of the illusion.
I highly recommend my book--simply because other actors have told me it was their "bible." MODERN HAMLETS AND THEIR SOLILOQUIES. Should be pretty cheap on Amazon.com by now. Do the 2003 edition as it has Beale and Branagh. Who was the most passionate about his Hamlet? Hard to say, hard to say.
