That said, now that I look at everyone else's calm, reasoned responses, I'm glad I bothered to put the fury out there -- I was of two minds about it, and regretted it the moment I posted it. But, looking over other reactions now, I'm glad I chose the less-reasonable course for once.

Oh, of course, John.

I guess I get angriest about something like this because I have indeed poured so much love and devotion and honor and trust into my work, and to have someone WHO DOESN'T KNOW insult it . . .

It is indeed the only thing that makes life worthwhile, this work, and it rewards me for my faith in it every day.
