Well, now that I sent out the email blast and all the mid-run publicity stuff, we get the rave review of Succubus/Slumberland I've been hoping and waiting for, for pull quotes and the like.


Oh, well. Into next week's "LAST TWO SHOWS" email.

In Mike's defense, he is 40% of the administrative staff there, and they've been trying to coordinate getting together 68 volunteers and matching them to 188 Fringe shows...

Oh, no. I wasn't criticizing Michael or nytheatre.com at all - just bemoaning my damned luck in having the review come out after I sent out all the mid-run publicity (by about three hours). At least this show runs for another two performances next week, after I'll send out a last "SEE IT NOW BEFORE IT VANISHES" email to the list with some of the great pull-quotes from the review (believe me, I'm not going to be ungrateful for that review!).

No, I know that my show is a bit low-pri right now, with the big Fringe push at the site. I'm glad to get anything.

I humbly apologize for dropping off the face of the earth for a dodecacade. It's taken me this long to get family matters out here settled and stabilized.

I would understand completely if you didn't want to hear from me again. I certainly couldn't blame you. But I very much hope that's not the case.

A lot of people from the past of NMH have showed up here to say hi. This is maybe the best thing about having a blog and other online presence -- all the people you lost and didn't want to show up again sometime . . .
